A) Check tire wear and tire pressure.
b) Check wheel runout.
- Wheel runout is 2.0 mm or less.
V) Check front wheel bearings for looseness.
G) Check up reliability of fastening of a forward suspension bracket.
d) Check up reliability of fastening of a steering drive.
e) Check the correct operation of the shock absorbers by performing a rebound test according to the standard method.
2. Install the front wheel alignment hardware according to the manufacturer's instructions.
3. Check the camber, roll and roll angle.
A) Check camber and roll angle.
b) The angle of the transverse inclination of the axis of rotation.
Note: If the test data does not meet the specifications, then it is necessary to adjust the angles of the front wheels.
4. Check the toe-in of the front wheels using a special device for measuring the toe-in of the front wheels in the following sequence:
A) Make sure that the position of the front wheels of the car corresponds to the straight direction of movement, on a level surface.
b) Mark the center of the tread of each tire at the rear and measure the distance between the marks on the right and left tires.
V) Advance the vehicle so that the marks on the rear of the tires move to a height corresponding to the height of the front toe gauge mounted on the front of the tires.
G) Measure the toe-in of the front wheels, using the same points on the right and left tires.
d) Make sure the steering gear is in the center position.
e) Loosen the tie rod clamp.
and) Turning the tips of the left and right steering rods by the same number of revolutions, adjust the convergence of the front wheels.
h) Tighten the tie rod clamp.
- Tightening torque - 37 Nm
5. Check the steering angle of the front wheels.
Wheel angle (tolerance +0°, -3°):
Note: When turning the wheels fully, make sure that the wheels do not touch the body or flexible brake hoses.
7. If the maximum value of the angle of rotation of the steered wheels differs from the norm indicated here, then the angle of rotation of the wheels should be adjusted with the restrictive bolts of the steering knuckle.
- Tightening torque - 25 Nm
8. If the angle of rotation of the wheel still cannot be adjusted within the established norm, then it is necessary to carry out a control inspection and replace damaged or worn steering parts.
9. Check side slip
- Side slip — 3.0 mm/m no more
If side slip is greater than standard slip then check toe or other front wheel adjustments.
