
2. Remove the compression piston rings using an expander.

Remove the upper and lower scrapers and the oil ring expander by hand.
Caution: Arrange the piston rings in the correct order.

3. Disconnect the connecting rod from the piston.
a) Remove the piston pin retaining rings.

b) Heat the piston to a temperature of approximately 60°C.

c) Press the pin out of the piston bosses using a hammer and a round brass punch of a suitable diameter.

Note: Arrange pistons, pins, rings, connecting rods and bearings in the proper order.
