Removing
1. Remove the main brake cylinder. (See section "Master brake cylinder").
2. Remove the air conditioning pipe.
Note: discharge the air conditioning system.
(See chapter "Air conditioning, heating and ventilation").
3. Remove the vacuum tube.
4. Remove two fittings.
- Tightening torque - 16 Nm
5. Remove the idle speed increase control valve when the heater is turned on.
A) Disconnect the connector.
b) Loosen the bolt and remove the valve.
6. Remove the wiring harness cover.
7. Remove throttle control cable (automatic transmission).
8. Disconnect the brake pipe.
- Tightening torque - 16 Nm
9. Remove the bottom trim panel on the driver's side and the heater assembly.
10. Remove the brake light switch.
11. Remove the spring, collar and fork axle.
12. Remove the brake pedal bracket.
A) (Tilt steering models).
Disconnect the bracket from the steering column.
b) Remove the bolt and four nuts and remove the brake pedal bracket.
Torque:
- Bolt - 19 Nm
- Nuts - 13 Nm
13. (Models with manual transmission).
Remove clutch master cylinder (see chapter "Clutch").
14. Remove the vacuum booster assembly.
Installation
1. Installation is made in the reverse order of removal.
2. Please refer to assembly drawing for installation.
3. After installation, check the operation of the vacuum brake booster.
4. Charge the air conditioning system with refrigerant.
