1. Install the oil filter with bracket.
2. Install the oil pump and oil pan (see chapter "Smear system").
3. Install the generator assembly.
4. Install the coolant pump (see chapter "Cooling system").
5. Install the fuel injection pump (see chapter "Fuel system of diesel engine 2C").
6. Install the cylinder head. (See the "Cylinder Head" section).
7. Install the timing belt and pulleys (see section "Timing belt").
8. Place the engine on the disassembly stand.
9. Install the flywheel or torque converter drive plate (see section "Cylinder block" chapters "Petrol engines 4A-FE, 5A-FE, 7A-FE").
