Removal
Disconnect the connector of the window lifter electric motor, rear view mirror adjustment electric drive and central locking device. To do this remove door trim.
Knock out pin 1 of the door opening limiter with a hammer and punch.
Remove the door hinge mounting bolts. Mark the door position first by tracing the bolt heads with a felt-tip pen. Remove the door with the help of an assistant.
Installation
Install, align and secure the door.
Insert the door stop pin from above.
Connect the connector and install the door trim.
Adjust the door position. Door adjustment.
The door is adjusted if its position relative to the body opening is small or if the door has been removed.
Release the lock retainer so that it can be moved with light blows from a rubber mallet.
Loosen the door hinge bolts and move the door. The hinges have holes larger than the bolts, allowing them to be moved.

To adjust the gap along the door contour, loosen the hinge bolts to the front body pillars without unscrewing them. Adjust the gap by moving the door. The bolts are difficult to access. Therefore, there is a special TOYOTA tool for unscrewing them.
The door adjustment is as follows: If the door does not close, loosen the door hinge bolts and move the door accordingly.
Adjust the position of the door in the area of the lock. To do this, release the lock retainer so that it can be moved with light hammer blows. Close the door and set it out.
Carefully open the door and tighten the retainer mounting screws to 10 Nm. To better control the movement of the retainer, outline it with a felt-tip pen.
Once the door position is finally adjusted, tighten the hinge mounting bolts to 40 Nm in the closed door position.
