Attention: The moldings are glued at the ends at a distance of 6-8 cm with special glue. The removed molding is no longer glued. It is made from polyvinyl chloride. Do not allow contact with solvents, open flames or hot water.
Removing
Separate the end of the molding by a length of about 30 mm with a wide plastic spatula. If a steel spatula is used, then it must be wrapped with adhesive tape to prevent damage to the body.
Tear off the moldings by cutting the glue with a knife.
Remove adhesive residue from the body with a scraper. Wipe the body with unleaded gasoline. After that, wipe the remaining gasoline with alcohol.
Installation
Heat the surface adjacent to the molding with a lamp to a temperature of + 30-60°C. During the bonding process, the body temperature must be at least +20°C.
Heat the molding with a lamp to a temperature of + 30 + 60°С.
Attention: The temperature must not exceed +80°С.
Apply with a brush «Haftgrund T» onto the stamped surfaces of the double-sided adhesive tape and allow to dry for at least 30 seconds.
Apply glue «Super Spezial» firms TOYOTA on stamped surfaces. The molding must be glued into place within 7 minutes of applying the adhesive.
Remove the protective film from the new molding and glue the molding. In this case, the ends of the molding should be located at a distance of 2 mm from the edges of the door. For cars up to 4/87, this distance should be 3-4 mm.
Remove excess adhesive with a plastic spatula and wipe with a dry cloth.
Attention: After gluing the molding, the car must not be washed for 24 hours.
