Attention! The work is done in pairs.
Removal and installation
1. Raise the glass. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Open the door and place wooden supports under the door, covering them with rags.
3. Remove the inner door panel and water shield.
4. Disconnect all wiring connectors, ground wire, and latches securing wiring harnesses. Label all connectors and wires first.
5. Detach the rubber cover from the door side. Then pull the wiring through the hole in the casing, thereby removing it from the door.
6. Carefully knock out the axis of the door opening limiter in the direction indicated by the arrow.
7. Outline the door hinges.
8. While holding the door, unscrew the hinge bolts using the door hinge bolt wrench and remove the door.
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Adjustment
Lock release adjustment
To adjust, loosen the screws and move the lock latch in the desired direction.
1. Before adjusting, check for play in the axes of the door hinges. Fully open the door and rock the door up and down without rocking the body. If the hinge play exceeds 1.6 mm, then the hinges should be replaced.
2. Adjustment of the door relative to the body is achieved by moving the door with the bolts of the hinges fastened to the body or to the door released. Doors are considered adjusted if the upper edge of the door is parallel to the edge of the roof of the body, the surface of the front door is flush with the wing, the surface of the rear door is flush with the rear wing, and the lower edges of the doors coincide with the profile of the sill. If the adjustment of the doors is not achieved by moving in the hinges, then between the hinges and the body (door) spacers should be installed (available for sale).
3. Remove the inner door panel and water shield.
4. To adjust the position of the closed door, trace the outline of the latch and make sure that the latch of the lock comes into contact with the center of the latch. Otherwise, adjust by moving the lock up and down.
5. To adjust the latch laterally, make sure the door is flush with adjacent body panels (front or rear wing). Otherwise, move the latch in a horizontal direction so that the door is flush with adjacent body panels and locks freely.
