Removal



Remove the brake pads.



Loosen the union nut of the brake pipe from the back side of the wheel cylinder.

Caution: Place a container under the leaking brake fluid. Follow the rules for handling brake fluid.


Remove both wheel cylinder mounting bolts on the back of the brake shield.

Remove the wheel cylinder.

Plug the brake hose with a cap.

Installation



Install the wheel cylinder on the brake shield and tighten the mounting bolts to 10 Nm.

Remove the plug, connect the hose and tighten the union nut to 15 Nm.

Install the brake pads.

Bleed the system. As a rule, it is enough to bleed only the wheel cylinder. If the pedal is soft after this, it is necessary to bleed the entire system.

Press the brake pedal vigorously several times. This sets the rear wheel brake adjustment mechanism.
