Every 5,000 km, or every three months, the hinges and assemblies of the door, hood and trunk lid lock latches should be lubricated with a few drops of liquid oil or a special lubricant for locks. The strikers of the locks are subject to lubrication with thick grease in order to reduce the rate of their wear and ensure trouble-free operation. For lubricating the lock assemblies, it is best to use a special graphite lubricant supplied in aerosol cans.
