1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Warning! If the car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!


2. Disable the airbag system (see section Airbags - General Information).

3. Remove the steering wheel (see chapter Suspension and steering).

4. Remove the steering column covers (see chapter Body).

5. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the left steering column switch assembly.



6. Remove the turn signal/headlight mode switch from the steering column switch assembly housing by unscrewing the mounting screws (refer to the accompanying illustration).

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Before installing the steering wheel, make sure that the SRS contact cable drum is correctly centered (see chapter Suspension and steering).
