Warning! See warnings at the beginning of the Section Checking the proper functioning and replacing the turn signal/hazard warning light switch and the hazard warning light switch.
1. Follow the procedures described in paragraphs 1 through 4 of Section Replacing the turn signal switch/exterior lighting mode switch.
2. Remove the ignition switch trim (see chapter Body).
3. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the ignition switch.
4. Insert the key into the lock and turn it to the ACC position.
5. Insert a screwdriver into the small hole in the base of the switch assembly, press the push-button release inside and remove the lock cylinder (refer to the accompanying illustration).
6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
