Over time, road film accumulates on the working surfaces of the brushes, which leads to a noticeable decrease in the efficiency of the windshield wipers. Regularly wash the brushes with a medium-concentration cleaning solution.
During the operation of the windscreen wipers, the fasteners may gradually loosen spontaneously, the reliability of their fit and tightening should also be checked regularly (refer to the accompanying illustration).
If cracks or signs of wear are detected in the rubber working elements, they are replaced.
1. Move the wiper arm away from the glass. Press the locking tab, lower the blade down the arm, release it from the hook and remove it (refer to the accompanying illustration).
2. Using needle-nose pliers, squeeze the rubber working element of the brush and remove it from the metal frame (refer to the accompanying illustration).
3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure that the brush is securely fixed to the wiper arm.
