Checking the lubrication level in the transfer case [Toyota Land Cruiser J100]

1. The lubricant level in the transfer case must be no lower than 5 mm from the lower edge of the inspection/filler hole on the rear side of its housing (refer to the accompanying illustration). To check, insert your finger into the hole.



2. If necessary, make the appropriate adjustments by adding the required amount of oil through the filler hole, using a funnel or a hand pump.

3. Make sure the plug is tightened securely.
