To adjust the engine, it is necessary that it is warmed up to operating temperature. Automatic transmission in position "N". Air filter is installed and in good condition. All auxiliary equipment and air conditioning are switched off. All vacuum hoses are connected. Valve clearances are set correctly. Injection advance angle of the high-pressure fuel pump is set correctly.

Idle Speed Control The electronic unit controls the idle speed based on input signals from the system sensors and monitors the cycle feed amount via the feedback line to bring the speed to the required level.

Idle speed - 650-750 rpm

When warming up - 1150-1250 rpm

When the air conditioner is running - 750 - 850 rpm

1. Adjusting the idle speed

a) Idle speed is controlled electronically.

b) Manual adjustment is not provided.

2. Adjusting the rotation speed during warming up.

a) Start the engine at idle speed.

b) Press the "heat" switch.

c) Compare the idle speed with the data in the technical specifications.

d) The rotation speed during warming up is controlled electronically.

d) Manual adjustment is not provided.

3. Adjusting the rotation speed when the air conditioner is running.

a) Start the engine at idle speed.

b) Turn on the air conditioner.

c) Compare the rotation speed with the technical specifications.

d) Idle speed when the air conditioner is running is controlled electronically.

d) Manual adjustment is not provided.

Adjusting the static fuel injection advance angle



1. Align the timing mark on the fuel injection pump with the reference mark on the block.



2. To do this, loosen:

a) Fuel injection pump flange nuts

b) Support bracket bolts

3. Turn the fuel injection pump housing until the mark aligns with the reference mark.

4. Tighten to specified torque.

a) Fuel injection pump flange nuts

b) Support bracket bolts

Note: After completing the adjustment, relieve tension in the high pressure fuel lines by loosening and tightening their nuts.
