An EGR valve is installed between the intake and exhaust manifolds. The position of the valve changes the resistance of the channel that communicates the intake and exhaust manifolds. The valve has a single pneumatic actuator, similar to the pneumatic actuator of the auxiliary air supply valve. The drive is also controlled by an electro-pneumatic switching valve, which, according to the signals of the electronic unit, communicates the pneumatic drive chamber either with the atmosphere or with a vacuum.
