Checking glow plugs
1. Turn off "ignition".
2. Disconnect the wire from the glow plug.
3. Measure the resistance between the terminal and the glow plug body
Resistance ~ 0.65 Ohm

Removal and installation of glow plugs
Removing
1. Turn off "ignition".
2. Remove the intake duct.
3. Disconnect the wire from the glow plug.
4. Remove the glow plug.
Installation
1. Remove carbon deposits in the candle socket (fit drill bit 6mm length 54mm)
2. Clean the spark plug seat in the cylinder head and wipe dry.
3. Clean heating element and glow plug threads.
4. Lightly lubricate the conical seat of the glow plug with anti-seize grease.
5. Install the glow plug, tighten to the specified torque
Glow plug tightening torque - 13 Nm
6. Connect the wire to the glow plug.
7. Tighten the fastening nut.
8. Install the dismantled parts in the reverse order of removal.
Glow plug relay
Checking work
Note: observe the polarity of the power connection, otherwise the relay may be damaged.
1. Turn off "ignition".
2. Remove the relay.
3. Measure the resistance between the relay terminals.
4. Connect battery power to the indicated relay terminals.
5. Measure the resistance between the relay terminals.
Terminals B1 and G2.
Power - Resistance
no - infinity
yes - nil
("Plus" battery to terminal EZ)
