Caution: Any diagnostic code in the electronic control unit memory is erased when the (-) negative terminal is removed from the battery. Therefore, it is necessary to read the diagnostic codes before disconnecting the battery.
2. Do not smoke or use open flames when working on the fuel system.
3. Do not allow gasoline to escape with rubber or leather objects.
4. When disconnecting the high-pressure fuel line, a large amount of fuel is consumed. Therefore, it is necessary to do the following.
a) Remove the luggage compartment trim.
b) Disconnect the fuel pump connector.
c) Start the engine. After it stops spontaneously, turn off the ignition.
d) Place a container under the unit being dismantled.
d) Slowly loosen the connection.
e) Disconnect the connection.
g) Seal the connection with a rubber plug.

c) Reconnect the fuel pump connector.
i) Reinstall the luggage compartment trim.
5. When tightening the nipple connection or the bypass bolt connection in the high-pressure fuel line, the following should be done:
(Connection with bypass bolt)
a) Always use a new gasket.
b) Tighten the bolt by hand.
c) Tighten to the specified torque.

(Nipple connection)
a) Apply a thin layer of engine oil to the nut and tighten the nut by hand.
b) Using a torque wrench, tighten the connection to the required tightening torque.
6. Precautions when removing and installing injectors.
a) Never reuse an O-ring.
b) When installing the O-ring on the injector, be careful not to damage it in any way.
c) Before installation, lubricate the O-ring with spindle oil or fuel. Never use engine or transmission oil or brake fluid.

7. Connect the injector to the fuel rail and intake manifold as shown in the figure.

After servicing the fuel system, check for fuel leaks.
a) Use a service cable to short-circuit the "+B" and "FP" terminals of the diagnostic connector.
b) Turn on the ignition (do not start the engine!).
c) If the fuel return hose is pinched, the pressure in the high-pressure fuel line will rise to approximately 392 kPa. Make sure there is no fuel leakage in the entire line.
Caution: The hose must be pinched. Never bend the fuel line to avoid its destruction.

d) Turn off the ignition.
d) Disconnect the service wire from the diagnostic connector terminals.
