Note: For naturally aspirated engines, ignore the items that apply to the supercharged engine.
1. Drain the coolant.
2. Remove the turbocharger cooling water hose.
3. Remove the drive belts, fan and water pump pulley.
4. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
5. Remove cover No.1 of the timing belt.
6. Set the piston of the first cylinder to the TDC position (compression stroke).
7. Remove the timing belt.
8. Remove the timing pulley.
9. Remove the accelerator drive lever mechanism.
10. (For vehicles equipped with air conditioning). Disconnect the A/C idle speed control vacuum hose.
11. (For engines with a warm-up regulator). Disconnect the water hoses from the heat control actuator thermostat.
12. Disconnect the wiring from the fuel injection pump.
13. Disconnect the fuel hoses from the high-pressure fuel pump.
14. Removing high pressure tubes.
a) Loosen the nuts of the high pressure pipes on the injectors.
b) Loosen the nuts of the high-pressure pipes on the fuel injection pump.
c) Remove the high pressure tubes as an assembly (remove the clamps if necessary)
Note: When loosening the tube nuts on the pump, hold the discharge valve fittings with a 14 mm wrench.

15. Removing the fuel injection pump.
a) Unscrew the four bolts and remove the pump support.
b) Before removing the injection pump, check the alignment of the installation marks. If there are no marks, apply your own marks to the pump flange and engine block for subsequent installation.
c) Unscrew the two nuts, remove the fuel injection pump and two spacers.
Note: Do not hold or carry the pump by the drive lever.
16. Disconnect the remaining fuel lines from the pump.
