1. Do not leave the ignition system on for more than 10 minutes when the engine is not running.

When connecting a tachometer, connect the control wire (probe) tachometer
3. (Electronic ignition system; version with diagnostic connector)
When connecting a tachometer, connect the control wire (probe) tachometer to the diagnostic connector of the distributor.
5. Since some tachometers are not compatible with this ignition system, we recommend that you check the compatibility of your tachometer before using them.
6. Never touch the tachometer lead "grounding" - this disables the switch and / or the ignition coil.
7. Do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running.
8. Make sure the switch is properly grounded to the chassis.
