1. (For models with manual transmission) Remove the clutch basket and disc, then remove the flywheel.

2. (For models with automatic transmission)

Remove the drive plate (torque converter drive disk).

3. Remove the rear cover of the cylinder block.

4. Remove the generator and its bracket.

5. Remove the oil filter bracket and oil filter.

6. Remove the cylinder head assembly.

7. Remove the timing chain and camshaft.

8. Remove the oil pan and oil pump.
