2. Using a soft brush and solvent, clean the cylinder block.
3. Using a straightedge and feeler gauge, check the cylinder head connector surface for warpage (flatness).
- Maximum flatness - 0.05 mm
If the flatness is greater, replace the block.
4. Visually check for vertical marks. In the presence of deep risks, it is necessary to bore all four cylinders.
5. Using the indicator, measure the cylinder diameter in sections A, B and C in the axial and transverse directions.
Cylinder diameter:
Rated - 86.000 - 86.030 mm
Maximum allowable - 86.23 mm
Increased repair dimensions:
- + 0.50 mm - 86.73 mm
- + 0.75 mm - 86.98 mm
- + 1.00 mm - 87.23 mm
If the diameter is larger than the maximum allowable bore all four cylinders. If necessary, replace the cylinder block.
6. If the wear is less than 0.2 mm, use a reamer to remove the ridge formed by the first compression ring at the top of the cylinder.
