2. Raise the vehicle, place it on stands and drain the transmission oil.
Warning: Make sure the machine is securely fastened.
3. Remove the driveshaft.
4. (DYNA 150) Remove the parking brake assembly.
Note: Do not disconnect the cable from the brake shield.
5. Disconnect the reversing light connector.
6. Disconnect the speedometer cable.

7. Remove the exhaust pipe.
a) Remove the exhaust pipe mounting clamp.
b) Disconnect the inlet pipe from the exhaust manifold.

c) Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the muffler and remove the exhaust pipe.

8. Disconnect the shift and selector rods shown in the figure.

Gearbox. Type G55 and G56.

9. (DYNA 150) Remove the lever axle bracket from the clutch housing.

10. Remove the clutch slave cylinder.
11. Remove the starter.
12. Remove the amplifiers.

13. Place stands under the gearbox and engine.
Raise the transmission enough to take the weight off the rear engine mount.
Note: Jack up the engine oil pan and place a piece of wood between the pan and the jack.

14. Release the gearbox from the rear engine mount.
(DYNA 100) Remove the bolt and nut from the rear engine mount.
(DYNA 150) Remove the four bolts from the rear engine mount.

15. Loosen the gearbox mounting bolts.
16. Remove the box by pushing it down and back.
