2. Set the wheels in the straight ahead direction and roll the vehicle forward about five meters.
3. Install the measuring part of the device in the center of the wheel axle.
4. Mark the centers of the tread on the back of each tire and measure the distance "IN" between the marks on the right and left tires.
5. Roll the vehicle forward until the marks on the rear sides of the tires move to the front sides of the tires, the height at which the instrument is to be measured.
Attention: when the tires pass the measuring point, repeat the operations starting from point 3.
6. Measure the distance "A" between marks.
7. Check the amount of convergence.
- Convergence when checking (B-A) — 0±2 mm
If the amount of convergence does not correspond to the given data, make an adjustment.
To adjust:
A) Make sure that the lengths of the right and left links are the same.
- The difference in the lengths of the rods is less than 1 mm
b) Remove the cover clamps.
V) Loosen the tie rod end nuts.
G) Adjust the amount of convergence by turning the left and right steering rods by the same number of revolutions.
- Convergence during adjustment - 0±1 mm
G) Tighten the locknuts of the tie rod ends.
- Tightening torque - 75 Nm
d) Install the covers and secure them with clamps.
Note: When installing, make sure the covers are not twisted.
