1. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
2. Connect pins +B and Fp with an additional wire on the control connector (see fig. Fuel pump power supply circuit). On models with a 1MZ-FE V6 engine since 1994, check the performance of the fuel pump by applying battery voltage to the fuel pump with additional wires, and determine the performance of the fuel pump by the noise of the running electric motor.
3. Remove the additional ground wire and close the test connector cover.
4. If the fuel pump did not work during the test, check the following electrical components: 15A fuse of the EFI unit; fuse AM2 30A; EFI main relay; fuel pump; electric pump power circuits and connectors (see fig. Fuel pump power supply circuit).
