2. Remove the timing belt.
3. Remove the oil dipstick.
4. Remove the crankshaft toothed pulley.

5. (2WD model) Remove the exhaust downpipe mounting brackets.
6. (4WD model) Remove the stiffener.
7. Remove the oil pan.
a) Remove 21 (2WD) or 20 (4WD) bolts and 3 nuts.
b) Insert a blade between the oil seal and the oil pan, cut off the sealant and remove the oil pan.
Note: Be careful not to damage the oil pan flange.

8. Remove the oil separator.
a) Remove 7 (2WD) or 3 (4WD) bolts.
b) Insert a blade between the cylinder block and the oil separator, cut off the sealant and remove the oil separator.
Note: Be careful not to damage the oil separator.

9. Remove the generator adjusting bar.
10. Remove the oil pump by unscrewing the 9 mounting bolts.
