Removal
1. Remove the left and right drive shafts (see chapter "Drive shafts").
2. (Except for the right drive shaft seal A540N)
Remove the left and right drive shaft seals using a puller.
3. (Right drive shaft seal A540N).
Remove the seal using a screwdriver.
Note: Wrap the screwdriver with electrical tape.
Installation
1. Install the left drive shaft oil seal.
a) Install the new oil seal using a drift and hammer.
Oil seal pressing depth:
- A241L, A241E, A245E — 5.3±0.5 mm
- A540N — 0±0.5 mm

b) Lubricate the working edge of the seal with consistent grease.
2. Install the right drive shaft oil seal.
a) Install the new oil seal using a drift and hammer.
Oil seal pressing depth:
- A241L, A241E — 0±0.5 mm
- A245E — 3.1±0.5 mm
- A540N — 0±0.3 mm

b) Lubricate the working edge of the seal with consistent grease.
3. Install the drive shafts (see chapter "Drive shafts").
4. Check the level of automatic transmission fluid.
