A) Lubricate the working part of the inner hinge with transfer case oil.
b) Install the drive shaft.
Note:
- - before installation, turn the retaining ring on the drive shaft with the cut down.
- - do not damage the seal.
2. Install the right drive shaft.
(4S-FE)
A) Lubricate the inner joint with transfer case oil.
b) Install the drive shaft and tighten the two bolts.
- Tightening torque - 65 Nm
Note: do not damage the seal.
(4A-FE, 5A-FE, 2C (WD))
A) Lubricate the inner joint with transfer case oil.
b) Install the drive shaft.
Note:
- - before installation, turn the retaining ring on the drive shaft with the cut down.
- - do not damage the seal.
(4WD)
A) Install the O-ring on the inner joint shaft.
b) Lubricate the inner joint with transfer case oil.
V) Install the drive shaft.
Note:
- - before installation, turn the circlip on the drive shaft with the slit down.
- - do not damage the seal.
3. Connect the drive shaft to the hub.
Note: Be careful not to damage the inner seal.
4. Connect a rotary fist to the bottom lever.
- Tightening torque for nuts and bolts - 130 Nm
5. Connect the tie rod end.
A) Connect the tie rod end to the steering knuckle and tighten the nut.
- Tightening torque - 49 Nm
b) Install a new pin.
Note: If the cotter pin holes do not line up, tighten the nut a small angle.
6. (Models with ABS)
Install the speed sensor.
- Tightening torque - 8 Nm
7. Tighten the locknut.
A) Close the locknut.
- Tightening torque - 210 Nm
b) Install cotter pin and locknut cap.
8. (Manual transmission)
Pour gear oil into the gearbox.
(Automatic transmission)
Fill with working fluid.
9. Install the lower motor guard.
10. Install the front wheel and lower the vehicle.
- Tightening torque - 103 Nm
11. Check up corners of installation of forward wheels.
