Check conditions: The air filter must be installed, all hoses and pipes of the air intake system must be connected.

Start and warm up the engine. The engine oil temperature should not be below 80°C.

Turn off all electrical consumers.

Caution: Connect the measuring device only when the ignition is switched off.

Check the ignition timing.

Connect the tachometer according to the manufacturer's instructions. If the car has an ignition coil built into the ignition distributor and does not have a built-in tachometer, the number of revolutions can be measured using the free green plug attached to the ignition distributor housing.

Start the engine at idle speed.

Increase the speed to 2500 rpm within 2 minutes.

1.3L engine: Disconnect the air damper plug connection.

Measure the idle speed. It should be 800 rpm.

Note: During the test, the radiator fan must not be turned on. If it does turn on, wait until it turns off.

If the idle speed differs from the specified value, adjust it with the adjusting screw.

1.3L engine: Reconnect the air damper plug connection

Turn off the measuring instruments when the ignition is off.
