If devices with a stepper motor are installed, then when power is applied to the instrument panel at the time the battery terminal is connected, the stepper motor is initialized once to determine the zero point of the scale relative to the stepper motor. However, if 60 seconds or more has elapsed from the time of initialization to the time the engine start system is switched to IG-ON·mode, the stepper motor performs reinitialization.

Liquid crystal display (odometer/trip meter, multi-information display and gear indicator)
Pic. 1.12. Liquid crystal display indications
The odometer/trip meter, multi-information display and gear indicator are shown on the LCD. To switch modes, use the button to switch / reset the odometer / trip odometer.
Odometer → Trip meter A → Trip meter B → Backlight brightness change mode
If trip meter A or B is shown on the display, pressing the odometer/trip meter toggle/reset button for 0.8 seconds or more resets the distance traveled in the current mode to zero (0.0 miles or km is displayed).
The trip odometer will begin measuring the distance traveled the moment the odometer/trip meter toggle/reset button is released.
In dimming mode, the intensity of the instrument panel illumination can be changed by pressing the odometer/trip meter toggle/reset button for 1.0 seconds or more.
The set backlight brightness value is reset when the battery terminal is disconnected. When the battery terminal is disconnected, the backlight brightness is set to 100% (in the daytime) or 4% (at night time).
Oil change warning lamp (only vehicles with 1CD-FTV engine)
Pic. 1.13. Oil change warning lamp
An oil change indicator lamp is installed in the instrument panel. It comes on continuously or intermittently, reminding the driver to change the engine oil, depending on one of the following signals: mileage or kilometers, or ash percentage calculated by the engine ECU.
After changing the engine oil, the mileage or kilometers or ash content stored in the engine ECU will be reset. At this point, the mileage or kilometers or ash content is set to zero and the cycle starts over.
