Removing
Attention! If the car is equipped with an airbag, then turning the wheels after removing the gearbox is not allowed. Lock the steering wheel by turning the ignition key to the LOCK position, or wrap the seat belt around the steering wheel and fasten it.
1. Raise the front of the car.
2. Loosen and plug the fitting (indicated by arrows).
3. Mark the position of the lower yoke of the steering shaft universal joint relative to the gearbox shaft. Loosen clamp bolt (indicated by an arrow).
4. Remove the bipod.
5. Loosen the mounting bolts (indicated by arrows), feed the gearbox down and disconnect from the intermediate steering shaft. Remove the reducer.
Installation
1. Install the gearbox, matching the marks made during disassembly.
2. Tighten the mounting bolts to the specified torque.
3. Install the bipod on the gearbox shaft, aligning the marks made during disassembly.
4. Tighten the clamp bolt to the specified torque.
5. Connect the hydraulic booster fitting and restore the fluid level.
6. Install the wheel and lower the car.
