Checking the condition of the bushings
1. On all vehicles, two bushings are installed in the springs, the condition and tightness of which should be checked periodically.
2. To do this, raise the vehicle to take the weight off the bushings and wiggle the spring lug.
3. If there is play, the bushings must be replaced.
Removing the springs
Attention! The described procedure is the same for the front and rear hubs. It is recommended to change the bushings on each side separately.
1. Raise the car and remove the wheel.
2. Jack up the bridge beam.
3. Disconnect the lower shock absorber mount and move the shock absorber to the side.
4. Turn away nuts of ladders, remove a plate and ladders.
5. Loosen the earring bolt.
6. Remove the bolt securing the spring to the frame bracket and remove the spring.
Bushing replacement
1. Remove the bushing by resting it with a screwdriver from the inside.
2. If necessary, moisten the contact area of the eyelet and bushing with penetrating liquid and wait for the impregnation time.
3. Lightly grease the lug with grease and press in a new bushing.
Spring installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
2. Tighten bolts and nuts to specified torque.
3. Bolts of eyelets of a spring tighten under nominal loading of the car.
