Removing
1. Remove the cylinder head cover.
2. Loosen the rocker arm bolts in the sequence shown.
3. Remove the roller assembly with the rocker arms, preventing the parts from slipping.
4. Get the barbells (drawing on the left) and store in the order of their previous installation (photo on the right).
Examination
1. Check the wear of the rocker arms, especially where they come into contact with the valve stems and rods.
2. Check the cleanliness of the holes of the rocker arms in the place of contact with the rods.
3. Check for cracks, metal fouling, and signs of wear near the rocker hole for the roller. Replace worn rockers.
4. Check the condition of the rods, the presence of cracks and severe wear of the ends, feel the deformation of the rods by rolling them over sheet glass.
Installation
1. Lubricate the bottom ends of the rods with engine oil or molybdenum grease and install the rods in place. The bar must fit into the recess of the pusher.
2. Lubricate the top ends of the stems and valve stems with molybdenum grease.
3. Establish rollers with yokes and covers, screw hairpins of a cover of a head of cylinders. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
4. Install all removed parts, start the engine and listen to the operation of the valve train.
