A) Disconnect the connector from the fuel level sensor.
b) Short-circuit terminals 1 and 3 of the connector on the wire side.
V) Turn on "ignition": The indicator should light up.
G) If the indicator does not light up, check the indicator lamp.
2. Checking the sensor-switch.
A) Connect a 3.4 W test lamp to "plus" battery, connect the second lead to terminal 3. "Minus" connect the battery to terminal 1. The control lamp should light up.
Note: The control lamp will light up after a short period of time.
b) Place the sensor in the fuel: the control lamp should go out.
V) Replace the fuel level sensor if it does not work as directed.
