Vehicle check
Type 1
Note: Removal and installation of measuring instruments should only be carried out with the engine stopped.
1. Preparation
Install vacuum gauges in the rupture of the throttle actuator hoses (on the intake manifold).
2. Verification (low altitude operation)
Note: low altitudes are up to 800 m above sea level (pressure over 700 mmHg).
A) Start the engine at idle speed: the drive rod should be drawn in under the action of vacuum on one of the drive diaphragms.
b) Press the accelerator pedal - the vacuum on the drive diaphragm will disappear, and the drive rod should extend.
V) Turn off "ignition" a vacuum should appear on both diaphragms and the actuator rod should retract.
G) Gradually, the drive rod should return to its original position.
3. Verification (operation at high altitudes).
The test must be carried out at an altitude of more than 800 m above sea level and a pressure below 690 mm Hg. Art.
Under these conditions, the diaphragm rod should not move in any mode of engine operation, respectively, there should be no vacuum on the diaphragm.
Type 2
1. Preparation.
Install a vacuum gauge in the rupture of the damper diaphragm hose.
2. Checking work.
A) Start the engine: the vacuum across the diaphragm should be zero.
b) Stop the engine: the vacuum on the diaphragm should move the actuator rod and over time, the rod should return to its original position.
