Removing
1. Drain the coolant.
2. Drain the working fluid from the reservoir.
3. Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the engine.
4. Disconnect the return hose from the power steering pump.
5. Disconnect the pressure pipe from the hydraulic booster pump.
6. Remove pulley and drive belt.
A) While pressing down on the drive belt to hold it in place, loosen the pulley nut.
b) Remove the pulley and key.
7. Remove the pump from the bracket by unscrewing the mounting bolts.
Installation
1. Install the pump in place and temporarily tack it with bolts.
2. Install pulley and drive belt.
A) Install the key, pulley and nut.
b) Install the drive belt, adjust the tension and tighten the bolts.
- Tightening torque - 39 Nm
Belt deflection in 10 kg:
- New belt - 8-10 mm
- Old belt - 10 -15 mm
Note: "New belt" this is a belt that has worked on a running engine for no more than five minutes.
V) While pressing down on the drive belt to hold it in place, tighten the pulley nut.
- Tightening torque - 47 Nm
3. Connect the pressure tube to the pump by installing the bolt and new gaskets.
- Tightening torque - 49 Nm
4. Connect the return hose to the tank.
5. Connect lower radiator hose to engine.
6. Fill the radiator with coolant.
7. Fill reservoir with hydraulic fluid.
8. Bleed the steering system.
9. Check system for leaks.
Power steering pump:
1 - Drive belt,
2 - Gasket,
3 - Pressure tube,
4 - Return hose,
5 - Key,
6 - Pulley.
