Checking the brake discs is carried out as follows:
- Measure the thickness of the brake disc as shown in Figure 246 to ensure that the difference in thickness does not exceed 0.07 mm at any one location. You can use a caliper to measure. The minimum thickness is 21.0 mm. Starting from a thickness of 22.0 mm, the disc wears out. If a disc is suspected of being misaligned, it should be installed on the hub. Secure the disc to the hub with two wheel nuts.

- Place a dial indicator on the steering knuckle (Pic. 247) and place the indicator dipstick on the outer edge of the brake disc. Slowly turn the disk and read the indicator readings. If the reading is greater than 0.15 mm, the brake disc is misaligned.
