- The brake caliper can be removed without unscrewing the mounting frame from the shock absorber.
- Place the front of the car on stands and remove the front wheels.
- Unscrew the brake hose hollow bolt on the brake caliper and disconnect the brake hose. Place the vessel. to collect the leaking liquid. Do not lose the sealing washers.
- Unscrew the fastening bolt as shown in Figure 237.
- In the same way, unscrew the bolt from the top side and pull out the cylinder.
- Remove the brake pads as described in the previous chapter.
- To remove the mounting frame, unscrew two bolts, one at the top and one at the bottom.
- The bolts are secured with spring rings. Install the brake caliper cylinder and mounting frame in the reverse order as described for installing the brake pads. Screw on the brake hose with new sealing rings and tighten to 31 Nm. Finally, remove air from the brake system.
