Transfer box installation details
1. Jack up the car and put it on stands.
2. Give 3 bolts of fastening of a protective casing of a distributing box and remove it.
3. Drain the oil from the transfer case.
4. Remove the front and rear driveshafts (see chapter transmission line).
5. Disconnect the transfer box control drive linkage assembly (refer to illustration above).
6. Remove retainer, washer, wave washer, and bushing and disconnect shear link assembly.
7. Remove the tire bolt «masses» and take it off.
8. Support the transmission with a stand.
Note. In order not to damage the pallet, lay a piece of board.
9. Give 8 bolts, 2 nuts and remove a cross beam.
10. Disconnect the ventilation hose, remembering the position of the latch.
11. Disconnect the connector of the VSS sensor No. 1, 3 connectors of the sensors-indicators of the transfer case mode and the connector of the electric motor of the actuator.
12. Slightly raise the transfer case and place the transmission rack under it.
13. Unfasten the wiring from the transfer case.
14. Turn away 6 bolts of fastening of the adapter of a box and remove a transfer box down and back.
15. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure all fasteners are tightened to specification Specifications requirements.
