The cars are equipped with disc or drum hydraulic brakes.

Gaps between pads and disc (or drum) are adjusted automatically. The rear brake shoes are adjusted when the handbrake is applied.

Hydraulic drive

Dual-circuit hydraulic brake drive (separate for front and rear wheels). The hydraulic drive additionally includes a double metering valve, which ensures equalization of braking of the front and rear wheels (located on the bulkhead of the engine compartment) and a rear brake pressure regulator depending on the load on the rear axle.

Vacuum booster

Mounted on the engine compartment bulkhead, it provides increased force on the brake pedal.

Handbrake

It has a cable drive to the rear wheels, activated by a lever.

Brake maintenance

After performing repairs involving disassembling the brakes, check their operation on a smooth, level road.

The original version is published on the website (ToyotaMAN)

When braking, the car should not move to the side; braking should be smooth.
