Removing
1. Loosen the rear wheel nuts, raise the rear of the vehicle and remove the wheel.
2. Remove the exhaust pipe heat shield.
3. Disconnect from the traction stabilizer bar by unscrewing the nuts. When turning the stud, secure it with a hex wrench.
4. Loosen the stabilizer bushing clamp bolts.
5. Remove the stabilizer bar. Remove the rubber grommets.
6. Check the condition of the bushings If the bushings show damage (cracks, rubber hardening, strong deformations), then replace the bushings. Check the condition of the stabilizer link joints (see subsection 9.1.3.).
7. Clean the place where the bushings fit on the rod from dirt and rust. Install all parts in reverse order. If necessary, lubricate the new bushings and clamps with cooking vegetable oil. Do not lubricate bushings with petroleum-based oil or brake fluid during assembly to prevent premature bushing failure.
Installation
The stabilizer is installed in the reverse order.
