Examination
1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector by locating it along the wires.
2. Use an ohmmeter or test lamp to check for a circuit between the specified terminals in different key positions. Replace the lock if the results of at least one of the tests are negative.
Replacement
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Turn the key to the ACC position.
3. Remove the steering wheel.
4. Remove the steering column cover.
5. Remove the switch combination from the steering shaft.

7. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the lock.
