Contents: Examination ↓ Replacement ↓
Attention! Check the fuses first.

Examination

1. Disconnect the connector from the signal.

2. Connect the battery directly to the horn. If there is no sound, replace the horn.

3. If there is sound, check the voltage at the output when pressing the horn button. If there is voltage, check the ground connection.

4. If there is no voltage, check the relay. It should be noted that the horn relays usually have 4 or 3 terminals (3-pin relays have a ground connection through the housing).

5. If the relay is working properly, check the voltage at the relay terminals. If there is no voltage, check the wires from the fuse to the relay.

6. If there is voltage at the relay terminals, press the signal button and check the ground connection circuit between the relay and the button. If there is no break, replace the signal button.

7. If the circuit to ground is closed through the button, then check for an open or short circuit in the circuit from the relay to the button.

Replacement

1. Remove the front grille.

2. To replace the horn, disconnect the connector and unscrew the mounting bolts (indicated by arrows) signal bracket.

3. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
