Engine Oil Pan 3F-E

Removal
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Raise the front of the car.
3. Drain the oil and remove the oil filter.
4. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the manifold.
5. Remove the starter and bell housing cover.
6. Loosen the pan bolts (see fig. Engine oil pan 3F-E) and remove the oil pan. If necessary, dislodge the pan with light blows from a wooden or rubber mallet.
Installation
1. Remove any remaining seal from the split surfaces of the cylinder block and the oil pan. Wash the sealing surfaces with solvent.
2. Install a new gasket.
3. Install the pan and tighten the bolts. Tighten the pan bolts to the specified torque, starting at the corners and continuing in a diagonal pattern.
4. Then assembly is performed in reverse order. Fill the engine with oil and replace the filter. Start the engine and make sure there are no leaks.
