Removal



1. Remove the crankshaft pulley.

2. Remove the fan (see subsection 4.4).

3. Remove the air conditioning compressor and the bracket with the generator, set it aside.



4. Loosen the cover mounting bolts.

5. Carefully remove the cover from the engine.

Installation



1. Remove any remaining seal and replace the oil seal.

2. Apply sealant to the surface of the cover, install the cover and tighten the bolts.



3. Tighten the two lower bolts with sealant. The figure shows the designation of the front cover bolts on the 3F-E engine (see subsection 3.1.1). Lubricate the threads of bolts A with sealant.



4. Install the crankshaft pulley.

5. Tighten the cover bolts.

6. Install the remaining parts in reverse order. Start the engine and check for leaks.
