1. The oil seal can be removed without dismantling the oil pan or crankshaft.
2. Remove the checkpoint (transmission) (see subsection 7.1.2 or subsection 7.2.8).
3. Remove the clutch.
4. Remove the flywheel (driving disk).
5. Carefully pry up and remove the seal.
6. Clean and inspect the surface of the oil seal groove in the cylinder block and the crankshaft journal sealed with oil seal. If deep wear is found, replace the crankshaft.
7. Lubricate the lips of the new oil seal with molybdenum grease, grease the outer edges with multipurpose grease.
8. Carefully slide the oil seal onto the crankshaft journal and press in the oil seal with a mandrel.
9. Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order. Install transmission (see subsection 7.1.2 or subsection 7.2.8).
