Replacement
1. Remove the cardan shaft.
2. Clamp the shaft in a vise, mark the position of the hinge forks and remove the retaining rings of the bearing cups.
3. Press out the bearing cup.
4. To do this, install the cross in a vise through the sleeve on one side and through the mandrel on the other.
5. Squeeze the vise until the bearing cup is at the very edge of the fork. Using a gas wrench or pliers, remove the bearing cup.
6. Rearrange the mandrel and sleeve and press out the opposite glass.
7. After removing the glasses, clean the fork thoroughly.
8. Put grease in new glasses so that the needles do not crumble during assembly.
9. Install the cross and insert the glass into the fork.
10. Orient the cross so that the direction of the grease fitting matches the direction of the grease fitting at the opposite end of the shaft (if oilers are provided).
11. Insert the cross into the bearing, insert the opposite bearing.
12. Carefully, without damaging the seals, press in the bearings, aligning them with the necks of the cross.
13. Install rings.
14. If necessary, tap the fork hard enough to lock the rings in place.
15. If the rings do not fit into the grooves, then disassemble the hinge and check the freedom of rotation of the bearings on the necks of the cross.
16. Install the cardan shaft.
17. Lubricate the crosses (if there are oilers).
