Pedal Height Check
1. Measure the height from the clutch pedal to the passenger compartment floor surface.
Pedal Height "A" - 161 mm
2. If necessary, adjust the height of the clutch pedal at the point "IN". Loosen the locknut and turn the locking bolt until the desired pedal height is reached. Tighten locknut.
Note: After adjusting the pedal height, check and adjust the pedal free play and pushrod travel.
Pedal Free Play Check (without amplifier)
1. Press the pedal until resistance begins to move. Measure pedal free play. Pedal free play "WITH" — 13 - 23 mm
2. If the free play of the pedal exceeds the allowable value, adjust it at the point "E", by changing the length of the pusher.
Attention: do not press the pusher into the main cylinder, the value "D" free travel of the pusher before the start of the main cylinder should be within 1 - 5 mm (at the top of the clutch pedal).
Pedal Free Play Check (with amplifier)
1. Press the pedal until resistance begins to move. Measure pedal free play. Pedal free play "WITH" — 15 - 30 mm
2. Check up a course of a pusher.
A) Stop the engine and depress the clutch pedal several times until there is no vacuum left in the booster.
b) Press the clutch pedal lightly until resistance to pedal movement begins to increase, then measure the pushrod travel at the top of the pedal.
Pusher stroke "D" — 5 - 9 mm
Note: The stroke of the pusher corresponds to the amount of pedal travel as long as the booster piston moves the check valve.
Pedal free play and pushrod travel adjustment
Note: For models with booster, disconnect the vacuum tube from the clutch booster before adjusting.
1. At the point "E" Loosen the locknut and rotate the pushrod until the pedal free play and pushrod travel are equal to the specification.
2. Tighten locknut.
3. Check pedal height.
Determination of the clutch disengagement moment
1. Tighten the parking brake lever and install the locking blocks under the wheels of the vehicle.
2. Start the engine at idle.
3. Without depressing the clutch pedal, slowly move the shift lever to the reverse position until you feel a noise from the contact of the gears.
4. Gradually depressing the clutch pedal, measure the pedal travel from the point where the noise of the gears disappears (switch-off point) to the end point of full pedal travel.
Pedal travel - 25mm or more
5. If the clutch pedal travel is different from the specified, then perform the following operations:
- A) Check pedal height.
- b) Check pedal free play
- V) Bleed the hydraulic clutch.
- G) Check the condition of the clutch housing cover.
Checking the operation of the clutch booster
Note: If the amplifier is leaking, the amplifier must be repaired before testing.
1. Operational check.
A) Stop the engine and depress the clutch pedal several times
b) Set the pedal to the middle position. start the engine. If the pedal moves slightly down, then the booster is working properly. If there is no change, then the amplifier is faulty.
2. Checking the tightness of the amplifier,
A) With the engine off, press the clutch pedal several times. Start the engine Depress the clutch pedal and check that there is less resistance to pedal movement than when the engine is off.
b) Run the engine for a few minutes to create sufficient vacuum in the amplifier, then turn off the engine. Depress the clutch pedal and check that the resistance to movement of the pedal is equal when the engine is running and when the engine is stopped
Note: If necessary, check the operation of the clutch booster check valve.
