2. Remove the brake drum (DYNA 100) or drum from hub (DYNA 150).
Note: If the brake drum cannot be removed, then: (Without automatic gap adjuster) having unscrewed the plug from the hole in the brake shield, insert a screwdriver into this hole and move the brake shoe away by turning the adjusting nut.
(with automatic gap adjuster) Insert a screwdriver through the hole in the brake shield and hold the adjustment lever as far away from the regulator as possible. Using another screwdriver, move the brake pad back by turning the adjusting bolt.
3. Remove the front and rear return springs.
4. Remove the retaining spring from the top side of the shoe, remove the two caps and remove the holder. Then remove the top block. Remove the lower block in the same way.
5. If necessary, remove the wheel cylinder.
A) Disconnect the brake pipe.
Note: Substitute a container for the drained brake fluid.
b) Unscrew the bleed screw from the cylinder.
V) Take out bolts and remove the cylinder.
6. When disassembling, remove the following parts from the wheel cylinder:
(DYNA 100) boot, piston, cap, regulator locking lever and screw, adjusting bolt with nut.
(DYNA 150, without automatic gap adjuster) regulator locking lever and screw, adjusting bolt with nut, two boots, piston, cap, spring seat, spring.
(DYNA 150, with automatic gap adjuster) adjustment lever screw and retainer, adjustment bolt with nut, dust seal, seat, wheel cylinder piston assembly and automatic regulator lever with spring, boot, cap, spring seat, spring.
