A) Set the gear lever to neutral position.
b) Warm up the engine to operating temperature.
V) Check:
- Is an air cleaner installed?
- whether all additional equipment is disabled,
- are all vacuum lines connected correctly,
- valve clearance,
- fuel injection advance angle.
2. Attach a tachometer.
3. Adjust the idle speed.
A) Check up presence of a touch of the lever and an adjusting screw of frequency of rotation of idling at the released pedal of an accelerator.
If this condition is not met, then adjust the accelerator linkage.
b) Start the engine.
V) Check idle speed.
Idle speed (with an accuracy of±50 rpm.):
- For 2L engines - 700 rpm
- For 3L engines - 700 rpm
G) Adjust the idle speed.
Disconnect the accelerator linkage.
Loosen the adjusting screw lock nut.
Adjust the idle speed by turning the adjusting screw.
Tighten the lock nut securely, then recheck the idle speed.
Attach the accelerator linkage.
Adjust the lever system of the accelerator.
4. Adjustment of the maximum frequency of rotation.
A) Check for touching the lever and the maximum speed adjusting screw with the accelerator pedal fully depressed.
If this condition is not met, then adjust the accelerator drive.
b) Start the engine.
V) Press the accelerator pedal all the way.
G) Measure the maximum speed.
- Maximum speed - 4900 rpm
d) Adjust the maximum speed.
Disconnect the accelerator linkage.
Cut off the seal wire of the maximum speed adjusting screw.
Using the special tool, loosen the maximum speed adjusting screw lock nut.
Adjust the maximum speed with the adjusting screw.
Note: Adjust only at minimum idle speed. Bring the engine to maximum idle for no more than 5 seconds.
Using the special tool, securely tighten the lock nut.
Check the maximum speed again.
Attach the accelerator linkage.
After adjusting the speed, adjust the accelerator linkage.
Seal the maximum speed adjusting screw with a new sealing wire kit.
