1. Adjustment of idling by screws of quantity and quality.
Start the engine. Using a gas analyzer and turning the quantity screw and quality screw, achieve the desired level of CO concentration at a given idle speed (See above for normal idle speeds).
2. Measure the CO concentration.
Let the engine run for about 3 minutes at 2500 rpm and then return it to normal idle. Install the gas analyzer intake to a depth of 40 cm in the exhaust pipe. Measure the concentration of CO at idle, after stabilization of the speed.
- For 2Y-C engines (U) and 3Y-C (U) - 1.5% or less
If the CO concentration is out of range, turn the screws to reach the required level.
If the desired CO concentration cannot be achieved, see the troubleshooting table below.
3. (With a feedback system)
Connect the vacuum hose to the pneumatic diode (VTV).
4. (In the presence of an air bypass system in the exhaust pipeline (AS systems))
Connect the vacuum hose to the vibration valve of the AS system.
5. (In the presence of sealing of the idle screw)
At the end of the adjustment, install a new one on the idle screw (blue) plug (filling).
6. At the end of the adjustment, carry out a road test to ensure that the performance of the engine has not changed.
